Laminitis in horses

Laminitis, also known as laminitis in horses, is a serious disease of the hoof tissue caused by inflammation of the lamellae in the horse's hoof. This inflammation can lead to severe pain, lameness and even rotation of the coffin bone in the horse. Possible causes of laminitis in horses are overfeeding, metabolic disorders or infections. Rapid diagnosis and adequate treatment are crucial to minimise the effects of laminitis and maintain the affected horse's quality of life.

Equine Balance starts even before early diagnosis: Our radiofrequency therapy device optimises the functioning of organs such as the kidneys, liver and pancreas, effectively preventing laminitis in horses even before it occurs.

Prevent laminitis

Laminitis in horses – the symptoms

The symptoms of laminitis in horses can be diverse and vary depending on the severity of the disease. The most common signs include sudden lameness, especially on hard surfaces, an unusual gait, increased leaning on the hooves, an increased pulse in the hooves, heat development in the hoof area and a change in posture.

It is important to take the symptoms of laminitis in horses seriously and, if necessary, seek veterinary help to ensure appropriate diagnosis and treatment. Equine Balance recognises even the smallest deviations in the horse's physiological frequency patterns and thus complements veterinary care. Equine Balance's whole-body system enables the health of horses to be analysed with software support, making it possible to take preventive action to counteract a relapse and the associated symptoms even before they occur.

Acute laminitis in horses

Endogenous thermotherapy from Equine Balance also guarantees rapid help for acute laminitis in horses. Whether you are a vet, breeder, equestrian athlete, stud farm, equine physio or equine clinic: an acute laminitis episode can be treated effectively with just 1 to 2 treatments per week. Veterinary studies have shown, among other things, that even a single treatment with Equine Balance can significantly improve the movement of a lame mare.

The emission of deep electromagnetic heat caused by Equine Balance radiofrequency therapy has an effect not only on the prevention and treatment of acute laminitis in horses, but also on other aspects of equine health. The harmlessness and tolerability of Equine Balance has of course been proven by medical studies.

Veterinarians, therapists, stud farms, breeders and sports stables: Our customers

Veronika Tiefenthaler show jumper II

The performance of my horses with EB Equine Balance is extremely good after 10 treatments, I would never have thought it would be like this. My gelding is no longer susceptible to colic, which has been with us for three years. My mare is “top fit” again and we can easily tackle another show season. The increase in the willingness to perform and vitality of both my horses is outstanding.

Bianca Rüscher, RZ Hard show jumper:

“The power under the saddle is simply brilliant. Our competition horses, regardless of their age, are far more supple, energetic, and relaxed. It’s remarkable that, through the application of Equine Balance, we were able to avert an acute colic episode in a colic-prone mare (operated on 3 times).”

Positive changes were already visible in the Nica analysis after the first treatment. My horse feels very good after a long absence from competitions. The first competitions were very promising. My second horse is hardly recognizable after three treatments: fine-ridden, relaxed, attentive and focused - completely different from before.

Imke Tratsis, veterinarian in Wangen:

"Our Oakey was lame-free after 6 treatments. Our horse recovered much faster than expected after a toxic episode of laminitis, thanks in part to treatment with Equine Balance."

Anne Haggenmüller and Elmar Fischer, dressage stable, Amtzell:

“Our horses feel fantastic. It’s truly impressive to see the improvement in our horses as a result of the treatment intervals with Equine Balance.”

Manfred Kalbrecht, rider and saddle dealer, Argenbühl:

“I was at a loss, unsure of what steps to take. Our gelding had Lyme disease a year ago, experienced weight loss, and was in an extremely worrying condition. Thanks to the treatments with Equine Balance, he’s now back in top form and can be ridden normally again.”
